Tianyi Flannery, Esq.
As a global citizen, I have lived in Scotland, Shanghai, Vancouver, Orange County, and Denver. With each new location came new opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds, tackle unique challenges, and immerse myself in different ways of life. This background instilled a strong sense of adaptability, resilience, and positivity in me, enabling me to work with individuals from all walks of life. Before founding Flannery Law, I served as the sole juvenile counsel at Connecticut’s largest criminal defense firm. I have also successfully handled infraction, criminal, post-conviction, and DUI matters. I take pride in changing the lives of many of my clients, you can see my case results on this page.
I am a passionate litigator who has served as first chair in post-conviction trials involving complex, multi-year litigation, including matters involving cell phone forensic data analysis and ineffective assistance of counsel claims. I also have a strong interest in alternative dispute resolution when it best advances a client’s goals, and I completed a 40-hour mediation training program through the Colorado Bar Association. I currently serve as the appointed Criminal Justice Section Committee Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, one of the largest sections of the Bar.
Education
I attended Purdue University, and triple majored in finance, accounting, and management. I graduated in the top quarter of my class.
After college, I received a near full scholarship from a top 30 law school, and attended the University of Colorado Law School on a majority tuition scholarship in order to live in the beautiful state of Colorado. I have worked at the Denver District Attorney’s Office and worked with four judges from the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado 2nd Judicial District District Court, and the Colorado 17th Judicial District District Court.
